Students that do not which to review the suggested paper are free to choose a different topic and paper. Students that choose this alternative are encouraged to contact the instructor to ensure the paper meets the requirements for this assignment (i.e. peer-reviewed, survey paper of a reliability topic).
Once you have obtained a copy of your paper, use the “Reading Journal Articles in Levels Methodology” to prepare a brief (200 – 500 word) summary of your article. In addition to your summary, also provide a critique of the article. Some areas you may wish to address in your critique include:
• Does the review provide a coherent summary of the work in this particular field?
• Does the paper clearly describe, classify, and evaluate the included references?
• Is the paper well organized? (i.e. chronological or thematic or methodological)
• Is it clear from the survey how the work in the field has evolved?
• Are existing gaps in the research clearly identified?
• Overall, was this a well written paper?
