Developing a Strategic Plan for a Firm

Task:
Each student will pick one case firm from several offered by the module convenor. Each student must assess the information relevant to the case firm then analyse it, identify a growth strategy for the firm, and develop a strategic plan for it. Students are also allowed to pick their own case but they must assure the module convenor their access to the relevant information about the firm is adequate and provide evidence for the validity of the case. Students who decide to use their own case should first seek permission from the module convenor and declare that the case has not been used before in other assignments. Students can approach this task in groups if they wish; however, each student must form and submit their own plan. The plan can be articulated as a consultancy report rather than an academic paper.

Format of the Report:
– In form of a consultancy report rather than an academic paper
– Using standard 12-point font, with 1 1/2 line spacing
– Word limit: 4000 words
