Firehouse Subs had built their business from quality products and customer service but without the assistance of advertising, the franchises were struggling during the recession. As soon as it was agreed that the company would invest almost two thirds of their franchise taxings on advertisings, the company’s sales almost skyrocketed over night. The communication within the company is what kept the franchise afloat during tough times.The franchise I selected from the e-activity was “Church’s Chicken.” The advantage of being a franchisee of the franchise is that the company has and continues to have successful profit margin. The trend of a stable franchise leaves the success or failure up to the franchisee. The disadvantage of working for this franchise is the lack franchisee sub contracting options.
