What is Satire? How does a satirist attack? What does a satirist attack? What methods are used to
convey the satirist’s intentions? What so satirist hope to achive? These are all relevant questions
when discussing satire.
Moliere Tartuffe, and swift’s A Modest Proposal are very different types of writtings, covering
different subjects. Indeed, Moliere succeeds in makinf us laugh, while swift’s project in political
economy makes us recoil in horror. Yet both work are satire.
Using above questions as guideline, write an essay on 4-6 pages in which you
choose which of the two works, in your opinion, is the more effective satire and why (you must address
the less effective satire as well)
