Read “The Role of Liberal Arts in a College Education.” One of the goals of the Foundations of Adult Learning seminar is to enable you to explore the ways college studies can assist you in becoming an educated person in today’s society. What role does the liberal arts education play in our culture today?
Now, re-read the article by Henry Rosovsky (found in “The Role of Liberal Arts in a College Education”), and write a short essay using Microsoft Word or a compatible word processor with 1″ margins, Times New Roman, 12-point font, 500 words minimum, and double-spaced. Save the file as “yourname_liberal.” The essay should include your critique of Rosovsky’s article. You may also include ideas presented in previous articles read in class. Then you must also discuss specifically how you can apply his ideas to your own educational goals and the LifeTrack Program curriculum. In thinking about your goals and curriculum, you may incorporate the ideas from other articles read during this course in addition to Rosovsky. When finished, submit your work here.
