Elementary Spanish I
First part of the assignment:

For this assignment, you will select a Hispanic individual within the United States as your focus. Make sure that the individual has worked, influenced, or excelled in the Hispanic community in the US. This individual may have gained notoriety in a variety of areas such as art, science, politics, activism, sports, etc. The PowerPoint presentation needs 8-10 slides. You are NOT ALLOWED to have words on the slides, except for headers. In others words, each slide will contain only a header and pictures, diagrams, etc. You will upload the PowerPoint in Canvas. One of your slides must contain a hyperlink to a video (2-3 minutes). The video should be about or directly related to the Hispanic person you have selected. Eventually you will be narrating these slides on the PowerPoint.
Your presentation must have the following elements:

o PowerPoint presentation (no more than 10 slides)
o Photos, illustrations, graphics, etc.
o A video of no more than 2-3 minutes (hyperlink)

Second part of the assignment:

Using PowerPoint (watch the entire tutorial video located in the modules), you will record your comments/notes on each individual PowerPoint slide. Include in your narration facts and data that you have gotten from your research that goes with the slide. On your last slide share your opinions of the person. Pay attention to your pronunciation. Your presentation must have the following elements:

o PowerPoint presentation (no more than 10 slides)
o Photos, illustrations, graphics, etc.
o A video of no more than 2-3 minutes (hyperlink)
o Researched facts and data that you will use in your narrative in your video
o Your personal opinion about the individual and his/her work, influence, impact
o During the audio recording make sure you talk/describe every one of your slides, as if you were doing the presentation in front of the class.

~Use Slide transition in the Power Point presentation. (VERY IMPORTANT)
~Use your creativity to make an interesting and colorful presentation.
~ The presentation is in English. HOWEVER, you are not permitted to use notes or read directly from the slides.
