Instructions: Choose one of the prompts below and write an essay of at least 500-750 words. You may
respond either to the quote or to the directive (“Write about…,” for example). The essay should have a
clear beginning, middle, and end, and it should use evidence for support. That evidence can be personal
experience. If you use evidence other than your own personal experience, document the source of the
evidence to the best of your ability.
