YOU are in Charge of Energy Policy
For this discussion question, imagine that you are in charge of the US Department of Energy and pretend that the President of the United States has assigned to you the task of devising a plan to increase our use of renewable energy sources. The president wants a report on his/her desk this week that specifies how you intend to increase the total amount of renewable energy consumed in the country.
In 2010, 8% of the consumed energy was from renewable sources. The president wants to raise this to 25% by 2025.
