Propose appropriate technologies for sustainable energy use and waste management. (Technologies available for the mitigation, minimisation, and remediation of degraded environmental media (historical, current and future – including renewable energy generation, energy efficiency initiatives, waste management and water/wastewater treatment and use).

Requirements: Following the class discussion on the Te Uku wind-farm project prepare a report including, but not necessarily limited to the following areas: ? Introduction: An executive summary of the sustainable energy project at the Te Uku wind-farm site, near Raglan. Also, provide an overview of the project in the context of regional, local and international energy requirements and related economic and sustainability issues. Project; Planning & Management & related Environmental Management tools: Detail the chronological process requirements of the project in relation to the RMA and the long term operation of the wind farm site, summarising the project co-owners (Meridian Energy and WEL Networks) use of environmental management tools and techniques used throughout the project. Impact Assessment & Conclusions: Detail the associated benefits and impacts of any related features you believe are pertinent to the project life cycle. o o Your report should be approximately 2-3,000 words.
