Evaluate the importance of people management .

To gain higher marks, you must justify the points that you make by applying project management theory to actual real world examples of projects. You may choose examples of projects from any important industry/sector e.g. engineering, information technology, retailing entertainment etc. Please note that you should write in continuous prose using sentences and paragraphs appropriately spaced for clarity. You may attach diagrams in an appendix at the end of the essay for illustrative purposes which will not be included in the word count. Please note that this essay should be Harvard compliant.

Focus should be on Project Management, not a general company for this task.

You are required to give examples of real life companies on the issues of people management in project management. You have to look in to one industry and provide the examples of real life companies of projects they have done, with at least 3 to 5 companies to give examples from will be good, in relation to applying project management theory to those real life examples of projects.

I would like to see you discuss about the structure (organisation), team work, personal skills, management and leadership, communication, the project manager etc and from these perspectives to explain why people management is important in project. You should also discuss what is project management? This will be a good start. Next, provide the different components of the topic discussed and go in to detail with these as highlighted above.
