1. Choose an outcome category from the Student Outcomes Document and a teaching methodology. Develop an eight-
ten page research paper which explains the category and method and includes research-based examples of its
effectiveness for teaching gifted students from the gifted education literature.
a. Review literature on the category and method you have selected. Be sure to use materials beyond our text.
b. Write a brief paper (at least eight double-spaced pages) on the topic as it relates to gifted students and their
instruction. Your paper should be written in APA format – with Title Page, Abstract, and Resources NOT
counted in your minimum written pages.
2. Develop a lesson to teach your class based on the methodology you researched. The lesson should be part of your
Integrated Instructional Unit.
a. You will video yourself modeling the content of your findings using the method that you have researched.
