Goal
1. The students will demonstrate improved mastery of writing skills and grammar by engaging in selected activities and completing different tasks related to writing and grammar with 90% accuracy by the end of the Academic Prep Course
Objectives
By the end of the Academic Prep Course, students will be able to:
a. Demonstrate understanding of essay writing by engaging in TOEFL and problem solving essay writing activities.
b. Demonstrate understanding of writing graph summary by engaging in writing graph summary activities.
c. Appropriately use grammar when writing including: commas, colons, semi-colons, tense, homonyms, word forms, and modals.

2. The students will demonstrate improved mastery of speaking skills with 90% accuracy, through engaging in selected presentation activities by the end of the Academic Prep Course.
Objectives
By the end of the Academic Prep Course, students will be able to:
a. Develop formal presentation skills by demonstrating comprehension of concepts and steps involved in the process through developing presentations about careers.
b. Develop informal presentations skills by demonstrating comprehension of concepts and steps involved in the process through developing informal music presentations.
c. Develop formal and informal group presentations skills through group tasks involving presentation.

b. Demonstrate improved abilities to read through business articles and acquire business vocabulary from the articles.
c. Demonstrate improved abilities to read current events articles and acquire new vocabulary they encounter from the articles.
