Radiographers are key personnel in the use of radiation in healthcare. This assignment is designed to allow students to examine the various roles that radiographers may undertake in compliance with ionising radiation regulations to help ensure that radiation doses are minimised.

Discuss the roles that radiographers play in ensuring that radiation doses are minimised in either diagnostic imaging or radiotherapy.

The assignment should consider all ways in which radiation doses can be minimised; the roles that radiographers may play in these and the legislation which underpins these roles. Students should use a wide variety of literature to support their writing and work must be referenced in accordance with the Cardiff University guidelines.
