exploring a current issue in healthcare. Purely medical conditions are not eligible for inclusion in this research. This initial background paper will use 3-5 academic sources on the topic.
Using the topic paper as a foundation, each student will explore their chosen topic in depth through the use of the academic literature. Due one week before presentations begin, this review will be 15-25 pages and answer the following questions: Why is this a healthcare problem? How has it developed into a problem? Who are the stakeholders and what is their stake in the issue? What are current and future impacts of the status quo? What policy solutions have been suggested in the literature? Which solution does the student feel is option which should be utilized and why? Why and what are the pro & cons of that solution? What could be some unintended consequences of implementing the chosen solution?
