In this first module we will examine the historical perspectives of health care law from ancient Hindu times to the current system in place in the United States. We will also look at legal definitions, sources of law, and health related organizations overseen by the United States government. After reading two required journal articles you will describe the relationship between criminal law and health care and the similarities and differences in how this law can be applied. Additionally, we will review the civil system and how trial law relates to health care.
