Find and analyze one historical document from the Beaton Institute’s archival holdings relevant to the subject of empire. The analysis should: (1) describe how the document was located (i.e. what finding aids were used), (2) provide the relevant historical context needed to understand the document, (3) and critically analyze the meaning of the document and how it contributes to the historical understanding of empire. The analysis should be no less than 800 words
