History of Asian Americans

Base on appropriate course readings and resources discuss U.S. foreign and domestic policies that informed “Indo-Southeast Asian” migration to the U.S. This essay must address the following: 1). Address the interplay between the global Cold War and the “Hot Wars” of Southeast Asia; 2). Comparatively discuss Cambodian and Laotian (including Hmong) refugee migrations and resettlement issues; and 3). Critique U.S. foreign and domestic policies of this period and how public policies impacted/influenced the racialization of “Indo-Southeast Asian” refugees. Explain and provide specific examples to illustrate your point.
