My research paper is on Honor killings in the counrty of Jordan. Format of my research paper should be as followed: 1. Introduction:
A.) honor killing or shame killing is the murder of member of family often times a female. The killing is done by other family members, because of the belief that an individual has brought shame or dishonored the family.
B.) Statement of the problem: Muslim women under the Islamic Law in Arab countries have strict regulations when it comes to love marriages or intimate relationships before marriage. Many of the women in the Arab country of Jordan are not allowed to marry someone who they fall in love with before marriage because of the requirements not met of norms and family values as well as family social status. This often leads to honor killings as well as domestic violence, which is usually done by the brother or father of that woman.

• According to a study conducted by Cambridge University, the horrifying belief that “honor killings” are justified have begun to become common among Jordanian teenagers. Another study found that almost half of boys and one in five girls who were interviewed, believed that killing a daughter, sister, or wife, who has shamed the family, is justified.
