You have two options regarding your discussion topic. In class we discussed the increasing importance of technology and
online education for new employee and recurrent training. Please briefly answer one of the following:
1. Find an example of online training for employees of healthcare organizations. Name the organization and/or website.
Describe the training that is available via the Internet – what skills or knowledge are being taught this way? Do you think
this is an effective method for disseminating this information? What are the advantages or disadvantages of this versus in-
person training.
2. Would you, as an employee of a healthcare organization, prefer online or in-person training, or a combination of the two?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of each mode of training? What information might be appropriate to teach in this
manner? If you are working, you can give an example of any training you received through your employer.
