A- Issue Paper Guidelines
Introduction
• Introduce your topic, its background and the main concepts.
• You can present the issue from different perspectives, yet you have to take a stance, a position and
be able to defend it in the body of your paper with a logical argument.
The Who
• Specify your audience and context.
• Direct your paper to a specific audience (co-workers for example)

What is the Issue
• Identify the aim of your issue.
• Highlight the concepts and their implementation in a chosen context.
• Show how applicable these concepts are
• Consider the transferability of the discussed concepts to your context.
• Show how your intended implementation of these concepts would make a difference in the chosen
context.
During the Process
• Develop questions related to your issue (problemalize the issue(s))
• Read around the developed questions and try to find solutions to the issue under inquiry through your
review of the issue section.
How
• Describe your findings which you have generated through the analysis of your secondary (and primary)
data which will answer the developed questions.
• Recommend a course of action.
• Show how you would implement the findings.
B-Movie Review Guidelines:

•After stating the main themes of the viewed video segment and how it is organized, consider to what
extent the presented information is reliable. The reliability of the information in this case is to be
inferred through establishing the correlation between the content of the video and published reliable
research in this area and the information that you get from the textbook and lectures.

•Consider questions such as: Is there a referenced component to check the accuracy of the presented
information?

•You may establish a link between the content of the viewed segments and your research project.

•A reflective statement on your part may add a value;

•Consider what this video adds to your understanding of the subject under inquiry and what it did add
to the published research in this area.

•What are the limitations; and if you have a chance to do it yourself, how would it be different; what
would you omit or add?

•In addition, you may consider in your critique whether the instructional objectives were clearly
stated, identified and communicated to the audience.

•Was the logic that stands behind the creation of the segment identified and how? Was the followed
organizational structure meaningful and valid?

•Did the segment make use of engaging activities, scenarios and examples to enhance the understanding
of the targeted audience?

•Did the presented segment use a well-developed self-assessment strategy to allow its viewers self-
test their understanding?

•How far was the video segment in general engaging, thought-provoking and presenting what it is
expected to present?
