Chose any ONE of the quotations, and write a 3-4 page essay, explaining the assertions in the quotation in your own words, and giving your judgment on the value or importance of the ideas in the assertion, whether you agree with them or not, and why.
The best answers to this part of the examination will focus attention on just the chosen quotation, and not the entire document of which it is a part. Those who try to write on the whole document will only be able to write generalizations of the broadest sort. I want sharp focus this time around.
