Please complete this section in line with the previous work and bear mind the following instructions given by my instructor
1) add graphs (using excel or eviews) in your results and discussion to enhance the quality of your results in the interpretation.
2) Mention and discuss the regression analysis mentioned in your methodology section (with tabular and graphical results) . mention the level of significance used for t test and why the specific level OR as to why you conducted univariate/ multivariate regression.
You can send the word document amended with the instructions by tomorrow night (GMT time 20:00) but i’ll need the data file (excel format) of the 3000 firms from compustat as mentioned in the dissertation because my supervisor needs to approve it. I’ll need it before 9am GMT time so kindly ask the previous writer or the new one to send it according the revision deadline.
Comments from Support Team: I managed to get data of S&P 500 companies (attached the file) with from 2004-2014 but its raw data not filtered according to the methodology but the writer can make amends and see if this is what is required for running regressions.
If the data is wrong let me know I might be able to add the missing variables but if this satisfies the need for the writer to work without accessing WRDS then let me know.
This file contains the sic and gic codes of industries.
so as per equation, for the variable LNSIZE you take the natural log of market value
LNAGE= natural log of age
rds= ration of R&D expense/sales
dummy variable for technology sector can be done by identifying industries via sic codes mentioned in table 1 in the document, gics codes .
First run the regression using EVIEWS or stata, (the r square should be >20% and mostly significant as per my my supervisor)
then a correlation matrix, descriptive statistics and sensitivity analysis for financial crisis in 2008.
the data and the work is attached and the equation on which you have to do the regression analysis.
the data for dummy variable might be missing but if you can do it i’ll send it to you by tonight.
Also please filter the data for missing variables if read.
For data filtering , the firms that don’t have r&d at all need to be removed (done in the previous excel file i sent but not this)
