In Module 1, you selected a healthcare organization that you have studied throughout your session long project. For this module, write a 2- to 3-page scholarly paper that clearly addresses and answers the following questions/requirements:
In your opinion, how well developed are your organization’s information security policies?
Describe policies and measures used by your organization to ensure confidentiality, availability and reliability of data and information.
Describe how the organization could (or does) protect from the loss its data. What steps could (or do) they take to make sure that data remains accessible in the event of a catastrophic event such as a fire or other natural disaster?
What things do you think your organization could do to further enhance information security?
Note: I do not ask that you supply confidential or proprietary information from your organization. Simply provide an overview of your organization’s policies as it applies to the background material for this module.
SLP Assignment Expectations
LENGTH: 2-3 pages typed and double spaced using 12pt Times New Roman font and 1 inch page margins.
The following items will be assessed in particular:
•Your ability to apply your understanding of relevant design considerations, controls and procedures to ensure that data, systems, and information are accurate, scalable, highly available, recoverable and secure.
•Explanations surrounding key concepts of redundancy, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
•Identification of security issues and vulnerabilities, and discussion of methods and procedures to mitigate exposures
Your SLP paper will be further evaluated based on the grading rubric (found under Assessments>Rubrics).

Originality and Use of directly quoted material
•The purpose of each assignment is for you to present your understanding and synthesis of the background material and key concepts. Accordingly, this must be accomplished substantially in your own words. Overuse
•Use directly quoted material sparingly and only when preserving the exact words of an author is necessary. For purposes of this course, rarely should directly quoted material represent more than 5-10 percent of your entire case paper’s content. Composing a paper patched together from mostly quoted material is not acceptable.
•Be sure to properly reference all directly quoted material and include the in-text citations.
