Week 6 Paper: This paper must be written in APA style. For this paper, you are to design an evaluation research study. Find a newspaper (see newspaperlinks.com for links to newspapers online).

Find a report of some innovative social program, such as prison reform, or a program to provide jobs to young people during school vacations, or a proposal for a new welfare system. Or simply

select an innovative social program you are interested in. Describe how you would evaluate the success of the program:

(1) Briefly describe the innovative program. Include enough details so that I can determine if your chosen outcome variable is appropriate. If using references, remember to use APA format for

your citations and reference section.
(2) Specify the key dependent variable that will need to be measured to determine the success of the program. Explain why your choice of dependent variable (DV) is appropriate.
(3) Give an operational definition for your DV. Describe specifically how you would measure your DV.
(4) Explain how you would design and conduct your evaluation of the program. Be sure to describe any ways in which the program itself would have to be modified in order to permit your

evaluation. Also, specify the data you would need to collect.
(5) Write a hypothetical research report in APA format (20 points), reporting the “results” (not predictions) of your evaluation of the program. Make up data, being sure to label that data as

hypothetical, and be sure to give your conclusion about the program’s success or failure, along with reasons for this conclusion. Include the statistical test you used to make your determination
