INTERVENTION CASE STUDY

Students will demonstrate understanding of appropriate intervention selection by applying an intervention strategy to the client situation.

Write a paper limited to no more than 6 double spaced pages using a 12 point font.

1. Provide a brief overview of your client (Summarize the data from your assessment in a few paragraphs).

2. Select one of the practice models you compared and answer the following questions about your selection:

a. Why is this approach appropriate for addressing the identified problem and goals?

b. Why is this approach appropriate for the cultural issues this client exhibits?

c. How is this approach compatible with the basic values and ethics of Social Work?

d. What empirical or conceptual evidence support the effectiveness of this approach for this type of client? (HINT: you will need to include academic sources for this part)

3. Apply this intervention to your client. Be specific with client detail; discuss how you would go about implementing this practice model.
