Interview Essay

For this assignment you will need to write and submit a 7-8 page paper. For this assignment you must interview someone who is either of the opposite sex or of a different sexual orientation. If you interview someone of a different gender, you should ask when they realized that they were a boy or a girl, what did they learn about being a boy or a girl from their upbringing, misconceptions, and if they have experienced sexism. You are welcome to ask additional questions. If you interview someone of a different sexual orientation, you should ask them when they knew, whether they were able to tell anyone, reaction to coming out, and if they have experienced homophobia. Again, you are welcome to ask additional questions. Your interviewee should remain anonymous and you should them this so that they are free to be more open with you. You do not need to include every word that the interviewee says, but instead you should summarize their responses and then in the second part of your paper, you will need to do a literature review using scholarly articles from Bay State Library (http://www.baystate.edu/). Compare the responses to what you read about this topic in at least 3 resources. Citations must be used throughout the paper and then listed in a separate reference page at the end of your paper. Papers must be typed, double spaced, with one inch margins and 12 font. Papers should be no less than 8 pages in length.
