INTRODUCTION TO SOCIOLOGY
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR INSTRUCTIONS
Compose three (3) opinion pieces reflecting a topic of social relevance. Topics should be chosen from current events (current reflecting any time between January16, 2018 and May 11, 2018). Acceptable sources for events include print and electronic newspapers (no tabloids or blogs).
As this is an opinion piece, you do not have to agree with the source, but you should not be derogatory in your expression. You should construct this letter as if you were writing for submission to a newspaper.
Your letter should be no longer than 200 words, double-spaced, and free of grammatical errors. Remember to reference the original news article, including its date, in your letter.
Letters will be scored according to Organization/Response, Grammar, and Format.
