Select a type of business of your choice. This can be a university/college/school, factory, retail, consulting, bank, etc.
Research similar types of businesses online and view different security policies. This will help you learn the different aspects of such policies. This includes policy
structure, details (look below), how it is created, who is responsible for it, etc.
At a minimum, your report MUST include:
1) Introduction: Business “Executive Summary”
? What is it?
? Why security is important?
? What are some of your vulnerabilities?
2) Who
? Who is responsible for this policy?
? How is the policy going to be enforced?
? How do you respond to incidents?
3) Policies
? User Access (Examples: Who, What, Password, lockout)
? VPN (Remote Access)
? Wireless and Wired connectivity (Mixed network environment)
? Server Load Balancing
? Disaster Recovery, Fault Tolerance, Back up
? Security Devices (Firewalls, Proxy Servers, etc..)
? DMZ

• Web Servers
• Email Servers
? Miscellaneous (other security concerns and policies, if any)
4) Conclusion /Recommendation
Presentation
This is a 10% of your final grade. Yet, it is not optional. Your project will NOT be accepted without a presentation. In other words, even if you submit a report but
do not present, you will not receive any credit for the project.
Your team must prepare a 20-minute presentation to present your project. Please practice before presenting. You will be stopped if you extend the allocated time.
Although you can’t discuss in details about all the above seven+ (7+) policies, you MUST mention all in your presentation. Yet, you MUST select at least two (2) of the
above policies to present in details. Any two of the above 7 will be accepted.
Note: The above does NOT mean that you ONLY present two policies. You still have to present all seven, but at least 2 with details.
NOTE: Project will NOT be accepted without presentation.
