Non-compliance with the law is an essential attribute of freedom. The trouble is that non-compliance with one set of rules (e.g. those of official state law), always tends to be driven by and result in compliance with another (e.g. the rules and norms of another organisation or belief system).
the legal controversy that i have chosen to address is Rape.
1) You need to make an argument or arguments. You should form an opinion on the statement (i.e. question) you have chosen to discuss. (That doesn’t mean that you should not consider counterarguments a you should where necessary.) The different parts of your essay should then contribute to the development of that argument.
Ideally, you should be able to formulate this argument in a general abstract form, which you then apply to your specific controversy “rape”. It might be useful to write it down in a sentence. Think of your controversy as an instance of this wider argument.
