Grading criteria:

Analysis of the suggestion – (15 marks)
The analysis of the suggested statement is significant and provides evidence of what you have read and analysed in relation to leadership styles. The documentation depicts your thoughts of what the statement implies and the suitability of this in the early childhood field.

Reflection (in terms of leadership styles in early childhood settings) – (15 marks)
The reflection is descriptive and critically reflective. It includes evaluation of the leadership styles in relation to early childhood environments and is backed up by evidence in the form of documentation referenced to the literature.
The reflection demonstrates insight into your understanding of these different leadership styles and the sorts of outcomes they promote in the workforce they lead.

Theoretical Perspectives – (10 marks)
The documentation provides significant illustration that you’ve come to grips with at least one of the theoretical perspectives and that you understand the role of ethics in leadership and how you implement this in your work as an early childhood educator.
