How to teach children how to choose a healthy diet

Childhood obesity is a major problem in the United States. One out of three children in the United States are obese according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There are many programs in place to help reduce childhood obesity. Some of those include Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Program (www.letsmove.gov) and the Dairy Council’s Fuel Up to Play 60 program (www.fueluptoplay60.com). There have also been changes made to the National School Lunch program to combat obesity. Review the websites provided for each of these programs prior to Seminar in order to become familiar with them. Be prepared to consider and discuss the following questions in Seminar:
