Task Description:
To produce a literature review that forms a rationale for your research. The review MUST end with a logical research question, ie your research question. Note: this question may be refined some more after feedback.
Rationale:
Undertaking a research project requires a sound understanding of the area. This information is always covered in the introductory section of a report. This is a formative task which allows you to:
a) Develop your understanding of the health issue
b) Receive feedback on your review which will then be reworked to form part of your report
c) Receive feedback on the voracity of your research question
Details of what should be included are presented below.
This review should be no longer than 1500 words.
You must use a minimum of six references.
It should address the following issues
? A description of the health issue; its prevalence and importance
? Research that has been conducted into the issue; cause and treatment; reduction in prevalence
? End in a question that is logical and consistent with the review

? Identification and prevalence of the health issue
? Appropriateness of literature
? Research question
? Academic Writing

Question is logically linked and consistent with the literature.
Shows an outstanding ability to summarise the literature. Correct and extensive use of reference citing within text. Written in a clear and succinct manner. Excellent linking and flow in writing style. Proofread and professional.
