Module 5: Overview

Module 5 is all about co-teaching, or when a general and special educator work together in an inclusive general education classroom. In this module, we will draw on what we learned about on effective communication and collaboration, as well as information about school structures to promote effective collaboration.

Expected Outcomes
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
• Identify the prominent co-teaching models that general education and special education teachers use
• Explain the concept of differential power among teachers
