Management

Students to write a management report which:
1. Identifies the major contemporary issues of importance to health service managers, common across most spheres of management (e.g. different levels of management, different healthcare settings);
2. Explores why these issues are common, the causes, symptoms and impact they have on managers working in the healthcare
3. Describes the common management strategies used to address at least one of the issues identified of importance to managers and how these may differ across the range of healthcare settings; and
4. Analyse/discuss one of these strategies in terms of its likely effectiveness drawing on material covered in seminar sessions, recommended readings and other appropriate references.
