1- Read the chapter and then answer the following questions:
Define an enterprise system and describe how enterprise systems provide value for a business.
Explain how supply chain management systems help reduce the bullwhip effect and how they provide value for a business.
Describe the tools and capabilities of customer relationship management software for sales, marketing, and customer service.
2- Read case study “Vodafone: A Giant Global ERP Implementation” on page 325. Then answer the following questions:
Identify and describe the problem discussed in this case. What people, organization, and technology factors contributed to the problem?
Why was an ERP system required for Vodafone’s global business transformation?
What people, organization, and technology issues had to be addressed by the Vodafone project team to ensure the transformation would be successful?
3- Watch the video cases in Chapter 9 folder on the blackboard. Select one case and answer three questions from the list of Case Questions in that case.
