CONFLICT and STRESS

These issues are widely reported on with academic literature and within the public domain, and are often connected and correlated.

The structure of your Report should be divided into three key sections covering the following contexts:-

1) The Individual: are they all alike or different, what type of people do they have there
2) Groups and Teams: what types of teams do they have? frontline, raising funds etc
3) the Organisation :the culture, mission statement, logos, what makes the organisation.

Where you consider appropriate within the sections, you should incorporate relevant elements such as:-

Personal attributes, including self, perception, personality styles, motivation etc. and management processes and characteristics including a range of leadership styles, culture, diversity, group dynamics, team-working, communication, organisational stress, occupational stress and conflict.

Ensure that you source additional academic literature to aid your analysis further. This will demonstrate evidence of wider reading.

Within your Report, critically analyse relevant concepts and theories relating to each of the individual, group and organisational contexts. This will demonstrate understanding of Theory and Practice and analytical skills.

Then evaluate your findings and apply the various implications to the appropriate issues, within the particular organisation. This will demonstrate evaluative skills and evidence of coherent arguments.

You should then identify and develop proposals which may help to continue and improve best practice or resolve any people management problems identified – that is, detail how a Manager should operate effectively within the particular organisation
