Instructions

Using the company you selected in Unit 6 and that was approved by your instructor, conduct research in order to formulate an analytical

framework for distribution channel design that includes segmentation, positioning, targeting, new channel development, and the improvement

of existing channels. Include the following in your analysis:

Provide the target market, positioning, and branding of the product or products within the company.
Assess of the types and sources of potential gaps in the channel design. Complete a gap analysis for the company.
Map out all of the channel flows of the company and evaluate each. A visual representation and explanation of each member in the

channel flow is required.
Specify possible channel conflicts. Propose resolutions for the channel conflicts within the company.
Evaluate channel power: Do you perceive channel members to have power? If so, explain which type of power to they have and why?
Summarize distribution channel design and implementation issues.
Make recommendations as to how the company can improve marketing channel flows.
