Monetary Aggregates
Go to the St. Louis Fed’s data site (http:// research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/) and graph both the rate of change of M2 from the category “Monetary Aggregates” and the rate of change of the CPI from the category “Consumer Price Indexes (CPI).” Does there appear to be a relationship between the two variables?
