New consumerism of the 1920s

Explain how the new consumerism of the 1920s placed the American people onto the notorious economic path ending with the Great Depression. In your narrative, include how corporate welfare, easy credit (to purchase homes, consumer goods and automobiles) and the new social media helped to fuel the faltering economy most Americans would face. Also how organizations such as the Ku Klux Klan and fundamental Christian churches see themselves as stabilizers against the horrors of the Jazz age.
