Nietzsche, de Beauvoir & Existentialism

What is an “ethics of ambiguity”? de Beauvoir critiques existentialism for not yet providing an ethical frame for its thought. It is her goal to do just that in Ethics of Ambiguity. Explain how she defines her project in the first section of the text. Why is it that man is essentially ambiguous? What does this mean? Afterwards, establish how this particular ambiguity gives rise to an ethics. Do you think de Beauvoir is successful in her analysis and approach. Why or why not? Defend your position. (Note: If you disagree, I suggest you make use of another author we’ve read to support your claim, though that’s not required.)
