Task Details:
Students will receive a Case Study contextualised to their subject area. e.g. Hospitality, Events or Tourism. to analyse.

Particular instructions to students:
In report format students must answer the following questions :
1. Identify the operations management issues and problems facing the organisation
2. Using relevant operations management theory analyse the root causes of these issues.
3. Grounding the answer in theory, make recommendations as to how the organisation can change the operations processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

The word guide for this assignment is 2000 words.

Submission requirements
Students must submit a copy of the assignment to the Student Help and Information Point (SHIP)

Weighted Assessment Criteria:
Your task will be graded against the following weighted criteria;
20% Data collection and use of data and information.
40% Integration of theory and practice. Identification and Analysis of problem areas.
30% Grasp of theoretical/ conceptual and practical elements. Solutions and recommendations to operations issues
10% Communication and structure.
