Throughout the course, you have studied and outlined a number of counseling theories which are used as the basis for the counseling profession. In this paper, choose a theory and compare it
against each of the following four theories: cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and psychoanalysis.
Choose a theory that you have studied in this course. Do not choose one of the four theories listed above.
Compare your selected theory against the four theories listed above.
Each of the four comparisons should be 250-400 words. Include the following in each comparison:
1. Founding theorists
2. Length of treatment for each theory
3. Standard Interventions
While your paper consists of four comparisons, it should be written as one cohesive deliverable with an introduction, conclusion, and reference page.
You must use at least three references outside of the textbook in each comparison.
Solid academic writing is expected and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines.
