Students will read the assigned sections from the Covey text and write a paper as follows:
•write a short review of the key aspects that the student was impacted by
•elaborate on how the key ideas are currently dealt with in the writers life
•develop a SMART(http://topachievement.com/smart.html) plan for increasing effectiveness
The goal of this assignment is to help students understand what effective and efficient leadership looks like in the 21st century, analyze where they currently are as leaders, and also provide
them with the tools to equip themselves to make specific adjustments and changes that will enable them to achieve their highest potential.
Paper template:
Section One
Elaborate upon at least one key concept from each chapter from the assigned readings.
Section Two
Explain why the concept/idea is important to the student. Provide at least one example for each concept that demonstrates how the student current handles these concepts/ideas.
Section Three
Develop a SMART plan for maintaining or improving at least three concepts/ideas/challenges.
Section Four
Progress report on previous SMART Goals
