———————————–
.: 2. There are no free actions.

2. Is your taking this exam a free action?  Identify how a Compatibilist such as W.T. Stace would answer this question, explain the reasons or arguments he would use to support this answer, and evaluate the adequacy of these reasons.

3. Some individuals maintain that certain miracles, such as Christ’s turning water into wine, show that there exists a supremely perfect being.  Explain to what extent, if any, this type of argument for the existence of a supremely perfect being can overcome the three problems that the Cosmological and Teleological Arguments share in common.

4. Explain how the case of Alan Henning could be used as “proof” that there is no supremely perfect being, discuss how John Hick would criticize this proof, and then discuss some of the main limitations of his position.
