Pick a Planet
You will be introduced to a wide variety of worlds in the solar system chapter in
physical science, and each one is unique and different and a place that is as real as
Dallas, Louisiana, or other favorite places. For this one-pager, select a worid from
our local solar system and it does not have to be a major planet. Many planetary
satellites are like planets themselves, and you can select one of these as well. Pick
one world and write a one to one-and-ashalf paper on this object. include
responses to at least five of the following as it applies to your chosen world:

0 Name, location, size, color, etc. of your chosen world.

i If it is a moon around another world, which world does it orbit?

Does it have an atmosphere and if so what is it like?

a What is the surface like, if it has one? Does it show nothing but lots of
craters or is there more to it?

i What are one or two unique characteristics of this world?

0 Could life as we know it exist on this world? Do scientists think life existed
before in its past?

0 Have we sent spacecraft to study this world and if so which ones?

Write your summary, can be single or double spaced depending on how
much you have to say.
