Most political scientists agree that there is strong evidence that elected officials in Washington have polarized, with elected Democrats becoming more liberal and elected Republicans becoming more conservative in recent decades. It’s less clear, however, that ordinary citizens have become more polarized.

In a paper of 3 to 5 pages (typed, double-spaced with 1 inch margins and an 11 or 12 point font), evaluate Fiorina’s argument and the evidence he provides in this video.
