How does the healthcare provider address these with the patient? What education and counseling does the nurse offer?

• Discuss the risks or complications associated with PCOS. How does the healthcare provider manage these complications?

• Women of all ages may present with vaginal bleeding other than menstrual bleeding. What might be causes in the adolescent? In the pregnant woman? In postmenopausal women? Understanding the problem and being able to organize your thinking about differential diagnoses, although challenging, will assist you greatly in clinical practice.

• Upon routine pelvic exam, you find a non-tender mass in the lower-left quadrant. What are your differential diagnoses? What questions should you ask the client? Based on your findings, what recommendations would you make to your client as the next step (if x, then y or each possibility)? What protocols would you want to have in place
