The test consists of four pairs of images and you are asked to compare and contrast each pair. In comparing and contrasting each pair you should convey your understanding of ideas and issues developed in the unit of study. You should also pay attention to what the pairing brings to the understanding of each of the artworks. This means that you should not consider each artwork in isolation. Rather the exercise is about the insights that you can develop from seeing one work in relation to the other. If you quote an author or artist’s statement please provide the footnote.
