Principles of Marketing Report

Objective: Research the top products of the century. Write a report with your findings.

Requirements:

? Cover page: Cover must include the title of the report along with your name, class/section, submission date, and submission instructor.

? Format: This assignment is to be presented in a report format with paragraphs. Please do not write in question/answer format. Please use the Times New Roman (Headings CS) font, size 12. Report must be submitted typed as a hard copy. E-mails, flash drives, etc… will not be accepted.

? Word count: Report should have a minimum of 1000 words.

? References: References must be included for any source used, including the Internet. Wikipedia is not a legit source that can be used. I am going to strictly follow the plagiarism policy of CUD in marking this assignment

Grade: This assignment is worth 10 marks. In order to be considered for all 10 marks, the requirements above, and the details on the next page must be followed and met 100%. Deductions will be made for not following the directions completely.

Research the top consumer products of this century (2000 up to today). Of the products that you find or consider to be the top products, choose one consumer product to further research.

Prepare a report of this product. Your report should include the following (note: these questions are to be used as a guide; do not write in question/answer format):

• A summary of the product, the name of the product, its uses, features and benefits.

• Who does this product target? What kind of customer was this product created for? What consumer needs are being satisfied by this product?

READ ALSO :   On the criterion of fairness, one would argue that two employees doing comparable work should draw comparable wages. Unions, too, would want comparable wages as they must protect the interests of all members. However, there are situations within the same national union when members earn different wages.

• What market is this product available in? Is it available internationally or only in specific regions?

• What other products are available in this product’s product line?

• What had made this product so special? Why is it one of the top products of the century?

• What products are in competition with this product? What advantage does this product have over the competition?

• Which stage of the product life cycle do you think this product is currently in? Give reasons to support your answer.

• If you can make any changes or improvements to the product, what would you do?
