Process Analysis

The purpose of this assignment is to create for your readers a vivid, descriptive reenactment of a specific process. It will practice your ability to go into detail, to give information in a logical order, and to incorporate explanations and examples.
Because the purpose of this course, Writing 101, is to help you develop your writing skills, analyzing what your current writing process is can help you identify your strengths and weaknesses. To improve in anything you do, it’s important to investigate how you currently do it: what don’t you do well that you can improve on and what do you do well that you can do better?
Word minimum: at least 600 words
This paper will use first person point of view (I, me…) but not second person (you, your…)
In as much detail as possible, describe your writing process.
This paper will be a vivid description of your preparation, the moments during the writing, and an explanation of how you “go public” with the work. It is a step-by-step explanation of what it takes for you to get a paper done. Make us feel like we’re sitting there with you. Besides taking us through the actual steps, remember to fill us in on how you’re feeling, what you’re experiencing as you work through your process. Rather than making this sound like an instruction manual, tell us the story of your paper-creating process. There are sample documents on D2L for you to look at, but before you do, think about some of the steps in your own process: what do you always do? What are some quirks? What do you never do that, perhaps, you should?
This paper will also include an analysis of how this process is working for you; is it working? As you go through the steps of analyzing the process, also evaluate it. Does it need to be tweaked? Completely revamped? Are you satisfied with what it produces?
This will probably include your opinion on writing, so be honest.
It may be taking us through a specific assignment, or it may be your general routine when approaching writing.
